Decadence

The analysis of the details reveals the glories and the history of the Beccaria castle of Montebello della Battaglia, near Pavia. The Beccaria castle was erected in the fifteenth century it has seen many historical events. During 1800 it became the seat of municipal offices and a school. Its decadence began after 1942: first unhappy restructuring had deprived him of the two low wings that bordered the courtyard, then began the deterioration of the former municipal part. However, until the mid-960s the villa was inhabited. Later, however, the negligence of the owners and the removal of the faithful custodian, meant that the entire building deteriorated to such an extent that it made it impossible to live in it. Now a visionary man is the new owner with many ideas of restoration and reuse.
